With over 2 million copies sold of his bestselling science books and numerous publications in Nature, Dr. Jung Jae-seung is one of the most prominent scientists of our time.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in physics from KAIST, and completed his Ph.D. in complex systems science and brain modeling. He has served as a research fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and as an assistant professor at Columbia University Medical Center.

Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at KAIST and the Dean of the School of Transdisciplinary Studies.

His main research areas include the neuroscience of decision-making, brain-robot interfaces, computational modeling of psychiatric disorders, and brain-inspired artificial intelligence.

Dr. Jung was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2009 and received the Order of Service Merit from the Korean government.

He is the author of bestsellers such as Science Concert and Twelve Footsteps, which have made complex scientific ideas accessible and engaging for the public.
